Move-In Study 

This study helps new move-ins make a smooth transition to Anchor Point Church by communicating our core values and beliefs. 

Introduction
Goals of this study: 
1. Help you make a smooth transition
2. Help you become apart of our spiritual family 
- by communicating our values and culture 
- learning from you as well

Before we add anyone, we like to go over our core values and beliefs on conversions 
- So it is a mutually beneficial fit 
- Expectations of our family
- Explore conversion story 

General background story exchange 

Acts 2:36-48 (Conversion and church membership)
- Go through the scripture and hit the core values (one another relationships)
- Helping other people 
- Taking care of people in need 
- Our family
     Giving regular offering 
     Small groups (give details)
     One-another relationships (explain)
     Seeking the kingdom first (our priorities)

Matthew 22:34-40

I. Devotion to a personal relationship with God
     - Consistent Bible study and prayer (1 Corinthians 12:21)
       + A high view of scripture (2 Timothy 3:16-17
       + We confront cultural issues with both love, respect and reliance on God's word as the truth and
          judge for our lives (John 12:28)

     - Commitment to confront, deal and repent of sin (2 Corinthians 7:8-11)
     - Commitment to a biblical standard of personal righteousness (1 Corinthians 5:9-13)

II. Devotion to the fellowship
     - Commitment to the body (1 Corinthians 12:21)
     - Regular and consistent attendance (Hebrews 10:25)
     - Actively engaged in one another relationships (Hebrews 3:12-13, 10:24)

III. Commitment to the work of the church
     - Willingness to serve in a ministry of the church. (1 Corinthians12:12-25)
     - Volunteering in the children’s ministry, ushering, set up, etc. (Galatians 5:13)
     - Willing to use my gifts and skills to help build up the church. (1 Peter 4:10)
     - Commitment to financially support the work of the church. (1 Corinthians 16:1-2, 2 Co. 8-9)
     - Commitment to support and respect church leadership. ( Hebrews13: 7, 17)

IV. A heart for the lost (Luke 19:10)
     - A willingness to actively share my faith.
     - A willingness to study the Bible with people. (1 Thessalonians 2:8)
